Server Admin/Desktop Support
Job Type: Contract or Contract to hire or Direct hire
Supports the end user compute environment, Installs desktop hardware, Operating Systems (OS), applications, and other software. The desktop technician will be responsible to troubleshoot repairs/replaces hardware, OS, application, and software as required. Supports the workstations, tablets, monitors, printers, projectors, wireless, and communication interface environments along with configuring, troubleshooting, and repairs as necessary. Maintains equipment inventory and configuration management database updates. Coordinates warranty support and repair of workstation/tablets/monitor/projector/printer hardware as necessary. Technician can handle special projects as assigned. Interfaces with end users to resolve any computing problems. Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Prefer A-Plus certification or 3 years of experience.
Unix Server Admin:
The Unix/Linux Engineer’s role will be to design, install, administer, and optimize Unix based servers and related components to achieve and maintain high performance of business applications. This includes ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the server environment. This position shares responsibility for the security, integrity, and safety of the data center/server farm. Scope of responsibilities include server hardware, Unix operating system. Five years of experience in this role.
